F.E.A.R

Build Confidence, Master Your Mind, Ride Better

because fear isn’t the enemy, it’s a signal. And you’re ready.

Launching June 2025

What is the f.e.a.r course?

FEAR: Feel Empowered, aligned and ready.

A mindset-led mountain bike course for riders to face fear and ride with confidence

The F.E.A.R Course is designed to help you unlock your full potential as a rider. It’s not just about skills, it’s about building confidence, mastering your mindset, and improving your fitness to ride better. Together, we’ll tackle the core pillars of growth: confidence, strength, skills, and mindset, creating lasting change you can carry on every ride.

This isn’t just about riding harder. It’s about working through the fear that holds you back and learning how to face it head-on. Through practical skills coaching, fitness training, and mindset reprogramming, you’ll become the rider you’ve always wanted to be.

This course is like nothing you’ve ever experienced before.

Over the span of 3 months, you’ll go on a powerful journey of transformation. We’ll target the real factors that leave you feeling frustrated, deflated, and ready to sell your bike.

This course brings together aspects of mountain bike coaching, personal training, psychology and counselling. It’s a full-body, full-mind approach, helping you uncover the deeper roots of fear, and giving you practical, lasting tools to move through it.

You’ll get:

  • Specific mountain bike coaching

  • A tailored strength and fitness program

  • Powerful mindset and belief-shifting techniques

And I almost forgot the best part of all!

To round things off, we’ll ride together for FUN. One final guided group ride where we celebrate the transformation; - see how far you’ve come, what’s shifted, and how capable you truly are.

The F.E.A.R course is here to help you Feel Empowered, Aligned, and Ready to Ride.

But this needs to be clear from the start - this course isn’t promising a quick fix, and it won’t always be easy. Growth never is.

What this course will offer is the chance to unlock a deeper level of understanding. You’ll begin to develop a powerful awareness of what drives you, what holds you back, and what might be blocking your progression, on and off the bike. If you’re ready to commit to yourself, show up fully, and do the work, it will absolutely be worth the effort.

What’s included?

  • Honing your riding skills

    On the Bike:

    3 Full Day Coaching Sessions.

1 Full Day Celebratory Guided Ride.

This course includes three full-day, in-person coaching sessions, each one carefully designed to break down key elements of riding so you can build confidence, skill, and control.

    Session One: Foundations First

    Sunday 29th June - Glentress

We’ll start with the fundamentals — body position, braking, line choice, and everything in between. You’ll learn how to take control of your bike, instead of letting it take control of you. Expect practical, repeatable techniques that leave you feeling grounded and in charge.

Session Two: Rocks, Roots & Real Talk

    Sunday 27th July - Glentress

This session is all about terrain features — rocks, roots, and all the things that used to make you mutter “please please please” under your breath. Now, we bring in technique and mindset tools to tackle these with confidence, not luck. You’ll learn what to do, why it works, and how to stay calm when it counts.

Session Three: Steep, Techy & In Control

Sunday 24th August - Innerleithen DH

We turn up the dial with steeper terrain, tighter corners, and more advanced braking and control techniques. This is where everything starts to come together, skills, strength, and mindset. And trust me, you’ll surprise yourself.

You’ll have plenty of time between each session to practice, reflect, and integrate what you’ve learned. That way, when you show up next time, you’re not just ready, you’re levelled up, body and mind.

    Celebratory Ride

    Sunday 7th September- Dunkeld

And to round things off at the end of the course, there will be a celebratory guided ride, to celebrate our wins and just have fun on bikes!

  • Rewire your Mindset

    Mindset Workshops: Reframing Fear

Fear isn’t a flaw — it’s a response. In this course, we’ll learn to work with fear, not fight against it.

Through 3 live online workshops, we’ll use techniques like guided meditation, visualisation, journaling, and breathwork to reprogram your unconscious mind and shift your relationship with fear. These sessions are powerful, supportive, and packed with practical tools you can take onto the trails — and into life.

    Workshop One: Understanding Fear

    Wednesday 11th June 6:30-8:30pm

We’ll explore how fear serves us — and how it can hold us back. You’ll learn about the biological and evolutionary role of fear, how it impacts your body, and how to shift your response when it shows up. We’ll close with a powerful guided meditation to explore the deeper roots of your own fear and start rewiring your mindset.

    Workshop Two: Riding the Wave

    Wednesday 9th July 6:30-8:30pm

This session introduces you to elements of exposure therapy — in a safe and supported environment. You’ll learn how to stay focused during those “fight or flight” moments using breathwork and self-regulation techniques. Together we’ll challenge old limiting beliefs and build new ones rooted in your strength, ability, and lived experience.

    Workshop Three: Anchoring Empowerment

    Wednesday 30th August 6:30 -8:30pm

Now we take everything you’ve learned and anchor it in. You’ll build mental tools you can carry with you on the bike and beyond — using counselling techniques, neural-training, and embodied confidence work. This session ties everything together, leaving you with a toolkit to keep the shift going long after the course ends.

  • Fitness for the body (and mind)

Strength & Resilience Training: Build Your Power

    Fitness Program Start Date

    Monday 7th June

Strength isn’t just about fitness — it’s about feeling powerful and capable in both body and mind.

Confidence doesn’t come from repeating affirmations. Our minds are smart — they need evidence. When you train your body, you build trust in your ability. You push through discomfort. You begin to see yourself differently. And that shift? It carries straight over to the trail.

We’ll be doing the mindset work to rewire your unconscious beliefs, but this part of the course helps you feel that shift in your body too. When your muscles grow stronger, your mind follows. When your endurance builds, so does your resilience.

    Your Personal Fitness Plan

As a qualified Personal Trainer, I’ll create a tailored training plan just for you. Here’s what you get:

    One-to-one Coaching Call
To explore where you’re at physically and what’s been holding you back.

    Three Personalised Monthly Programs
Designed to help you build strength, endurance, and mental grit.

These are structured to fit alongside your life and the course. No fluff, just practical, empowering training designed to make you feel unstoppable.

Remember: nothing worth having ever comes easy, but hard work pays off. And you’re more capable than you think.

You don’t need to be super fit or super skilled, but you do need to be willing to put in the work.

Do I need to be a certain type of rider to join this course?

This course is ideal for riders who are already comfortable on blue and red trails and are starting to explore black and some natural trails but want to feel more confident doing so. If you’re unsure about your riding ability and want to chat about this, get in touch.

How much riding experience do I need?

Ideally you’ve been riding regularly for a year or more — or you’ve done some coaching before and want to go deeper. If you're unsure, just get in touch for a chat!

How are the online sessions delivered?

The mindset workshops and 1:1 coaching call are delivered over Zoom. All you need is a quiet space, a notebook, and a cuppa.

    Is this therapy or counselling?

No, this isn’t therapy, but the course is informed by evidence-based counselling and psychological techniques, blended with physical coaching and real-world tools. If deeper therapeutic support is needed, I’ll always signpost appropriately.
