3-Day Introduction to Bikepacking Weekend
Discover the freedom of bikepacking with this fun and supportive weekend adventure. Perfect for beginners, we’ll guide you through everything you need to know to get started on your bikepacking journey.
Day 1: Welcome & Preparation
Morning
Meet at the starting location for introductions and a welcome briefing
Overview of bikepacking gear: packing essentials, loading your bike, and balancing weight
Adjusting bike setups for comfort and control
Afternoon
Practice ride to get familiar with loaded bikes on mixed terrain.
Stop for a picnic lunch, included in your package.
Learn route planning tips and basic navigation with maps or GPS devices.
Evening
Return to a cozy lodge for the night
Enjoy a hearty group dinner and relax in comfortable surroundings
Evening session: Q&A about bikepacking basics and tips for a successful adventure
Day 2: Adventure on the Trail
Morning
Breakfast at the lodge and pack up gear
Guided ride on beautiful off-road trails, with plenty of stops to take in the views
Skills session: riding techniques for different terrain types (gravel, singletrack, climbs)
Afternoon
- Lunch on the trail (provided).
Basic bike maintenance workshop: fixing punctures, adjusting gears, and chain care
Continue the ride to our first campsite, located in a peaceful remote area
Evening
Cook your own meal using lightweight bikepacking stoves (ingredients provided)
Campfire discussion: trip planning, safety tips, and Leave No Trace principles
Day 3: Wrap-Up & Ride Home
Morning
Breakfast and break camp
Group ride back to the starting location, focusing on consolidating skills learned
Afternoon
Debrief and reflect on the weekend
Handouts: resources for planning your own trips and a checklist of essential
Farewells and departure

This weekend is designed for beginners with moderate fitness levels who are confident riding a bike and ready to learn new skills. No prior camping experience needed!
