PoolYeow is designed for advanced riders seeking a challenge, with good fitness and advanced skills. Over three action-packed days, we’ll tackle iconic descents, ride the legendary Torridon Loop, and discover a hidden gem known only to a select few riders. From technical climbs to exhilarating downhills, this trip is the ultimate Scottish mountain biking experience.

Day 1: Dundonnell to PoolYeow

  • Distance: 40-50 km

  • Elevation: Approx. 1,000-1,500 meters

  • Overview: Start the adventure by tackling one of Scotland’s iconic descents. Begin at Dundonnell, where you'll warm up with some scenic riding before launching into one of the most thrilling downhills in the region. You’ll enjoy fast, technical terrain with epic views of the rugged Scottish landscape. Finish the day with a steady ride toward PoolYeow, known for its challenging but rewarding trails.

Day 2: The Torridon Loop

  • Distance: 40-60 km

  • Elevation: Approx. 1,200-1,500 meters

  • Overview: The Torridon Loop is one of the classic mountain biking routes in Scotland, offering an unforgettable combination of tough climbs and world-class descents. You'll ride through stunning landscapes with views of the Torridon mountains, including some tricky sections and rock gardens. The loop provides a mix of terrain with challenging features perfect for experienced riders.

Day 3: The Hidden Gem

  • Distance: 30-50 km

  • Elevation: Approx. 800-1,200 meters

  • Overview: The final day will take you off the beaten path, exploring a hidden gem that only local riders know about. The terrain will be diverse, ranging from forest trails to gnarly descents that will test your skills. This final ride will allow you to finish your adventure with a sense of accomplishment and discovery.

  • Highlights: A secret trail, untouched landscapes, a true hidden gem in Scotland.

Who This is Suitable For

This trip is designed for advanced mountain bikers with good fitness and technical skills. You should be comfortable riding fast, challenging terrain and technical descents, as well as handling varied weather conditions. The terrain will require strong bike-handling skills, stamina, and the ability to navigate rocky, rooty, and sometimes steep trails.
